Assessment of the Educational Environment Reality for Teaching Design Domain in Art Education at Irbid District Governorate Schools\ Jordan

Abstract | الملخص

The present study aimed to assess the reality of the educational environment for the teaching of design domain in art education at Irbid District Governorate schools in Jordan, the current study is based on descriptive analytical method through the development of a questionnaire for the purposes of achieving the objectives of this study. The study population included all public schools in Irbid District Governorate (101) in the academic year 2014\2015, the study found the following: The level of assessment of teachers surveyed of educational environment dimensions relevant for the teaching of design domain in art education was weak, and results showed that there the presence of a significant number of the difficulties faced by teachers of art education in the teaching of design domain on the surveyed schools, there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance attributable to demographic and functional variables (gender, academic qualification, and the number of years of experience and specialization).In the light of the results the researchers put forward several recommendations.
