The study aimed to identify the degree of Jordanian secondary school headmasters' competency in strategic planning from their view. The study sample consisted of (94) headmasters working in secondary schools at the education directorates in the Irbid Governorate for 2015/2016 academic year, chosen randomly. To achieve the study goals, a questionnaire was developed, consisted of (38) items, distributed into four dimensions: School mission formation, school vision formation, school internal environment analysis, and school external environment analysis. Means, standard deviation, and 4-way ANOVA (without Interaction) were used.The results showed that identify the degree of Jordanian secondary schools headmasters' competency in strategic planning was (medium), where school internal environment analysis came at first rank with (high) degree, while school external environment analysis came at last one with (moderate) degree. The results also showed no significant differences in the degree of Jordanian secondary schools headmasters' competency in strategic planning due to (gender, specialty, educational qualification), while showed a significant differences due to experience, in favor of category (1- 4 years). The study recommended the Ministry of Education to holding periodically and continuously training sessions related to strategic planning before, during, and after school headmasters appointment.
