The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of weight training and plyometric exercises on improving the muscular power and strength endurance among volleyball players at Yarmouk University to identify which exercise is more effective. The subjects of the study were (n=26) male players of volleyball at Yarmouk University team. They were divided in to two groups, first (n=13) players who were assigned to weight training program which lasted for (7) weeks with (3) training sessions per week. The result of the study showed significant statistical differences for the first experimental group that used plyometric exercise for the favor of telemetry in the whole variables of the study, in addition to the existence of significant differences with the second experimental group that used plyometric exercises. Also, the results didn’t show any significant differences in using both ways in developing the physical endurance and muscles strength. The researchers recommend practicing the weight training and the plyometric methods for their influence in developing the muscular strength and endurance for the volleyball players at Yarmouk University.
