The Portrait of Woman in the Jordanian Novel and short story

Abstract | الملخص

This article deals with the portrait of Jordanian women in different literary works written by different novelists as Julia Sawalha in her novels "Salma" and "AL-Nashmi" and Samiha Khrais's novel "AL-Khishkash", also Marafe'a Alwahem and Imra'at alfosol alkhamsa written by Laila Al-Atrash, Afaf Bataineh and her novel Kharej Aljasad, and mazida men Al-wahsha for Basma Al-Nsour, Alghajar and Alsabeiah written by Jawaher Alrafaia, Rajaul Hakiki by Basma Alnemri. The study stops at different models of women; it shows different types of women as the educated one, the curious one, and the romantic one.
