Procedures Applied upon Private and Public Real Estates in the First Islamic Conquests of Levant during the Umari Era


Abstract | الملخص

Despite the fact that the actual conquests of Levant occurred under the ruling and administration of Caliph Umar bin Al-Khattab (634 – 644AD) it is noticed that applied procedures upon private and public real estates varried between different cities and regions. The research aims to analyze the applied procedures in order to reach an understanding of their causes; through studying Levant right before conquests, summarizing the conquests' history and defining them into patterns to analyse. The study came up with several outcomes and recommendations referring to the authenticity of the Islamic rules at early times and to the understanding of them by the leaders
