This research examines the nature of syndicated loans due to its great importance as they are used to finance the needs of the public and private sectors on the level of local financial markets, at most countries, including the developing countries. Therefore, the research defines syndicated loans, their legal characteristics and the parties of such loan, it reviews also the most important principles of these loans, and it highlights the distinction between syndicated loan and other contracts, in particular the participation loans.
