The Statute of the International Criminal Court and the Extent of its Implementation in Jordanian Legislation

Abstract | الملخص

To ensure the effective application of international conventions, the International Criminal Court should take all administrative and legislative procedures into consideration to ensure the application of the provisions stipulated in the Statute for the sake of international cooperation regarding the protection of human rights and public freedoms. The importance of International Criminal Court was stated, as well as the various standpoints of the ratification states to achieve appropriateness. It is clear that Jordan is one of the countries that have worked hard to match its local texts with the court system, particularly the provisions stipulated in the Military Penal Code and its amendments, which allows the application of the Jordanian law on the perpetrators of international crimes. and it is necessary to have more amendments to include the non-Jordanians perpetrators.
